Dr. C. Don Livingston, received his BA and MA from the University of South Carolina and his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. He is a Professor of Political Science and Public Affairs.

Eugene E. McDowell
"Suicide Across the Life Span" (demographics, age differences, gender differences, risk factors, prevention)
"Gender Differences in Grief and Bereavement" (causes, mental health implications)

Dr. McDowell earned his Ph.D. degree in psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in1966. He served as assistant professor at UNC-Greensboro from 1965-69 and was was head of the Psychology Department at Western Carolina University from 1969-84 and director of the Asheville Graduate Center from 1984-2000. He has be a professor of psychology at Western Carolina University since 2000. Dr. McDowell has authored several publications presentations, including two books: Suicide Across the Life Span and Gender Differences in Grief and Bereavement.
